So after realizing i have a lot on my mind all the time i decided to actually keep up with this. The last 2 days have been absolutely ridiculous.
On Saturday Ally and I wanted to hit up the Roosevelt Field mall. We picked up Ally's friend Kaitlyn and Jess showed up shortly after. I had been hounded by my parents for hours about how the snow was going to be really bad but decided to brave it and head westbound. Jessica was the navigator and told us to go to exit 32 on the LIE. Now i remember thinking "hey that seems kinda far" but since i had never driven there myself previously i didnt question. Traffic moved well as we drove for over 20 exits. It was when we got to around exit 33 that Jessica realized that maaaaybe she had it wrong. Exit 32 was taking us to the white stone bridge and we ended up in queens. Upon further review, she admitted that she made a slight mistake..that it was exit 42 and 32 was on the northern state. A little frustrating but i wasnt too upset; and we headed back east. Around this time is the second time my right leg had fallen asleep >< I think i may have a pinched nerve or something because it just dies in the worst situations, particularly when i am driving. We arrived at exit 42 and she told me to make a right, when got us on the northern state parkway...or did it? Actually we were now heading south when i realized the exits were going up and not down. So we got off the parkway back onto the LIE and then were heading east when we should have been heading west! I realize that getting to this mall was now my quest and i was to fufill it. We eventually end up going north and get off at exit 32 which Jess now admits she isnt sure is even the right exit. Somehow though, we end up seeing signs for it and after what was 2 hrs of back and forth driving we made it. Only thing was getting into it... Traffic was insane and i guess there are only a few ways into the mall because it seemed we were circling it for quite some time. On the way i noticed a black GTI next to me, i revved my engine and he did the same back and waved. It was so cool. Upon circling it at least twice i just dont know how to get in and before we ended up back on the parkway i parked in a sorta far off lot and informed my crew WE WERE WALKING haha.
Now only 2 one way roads separated us from our holy grail. When i say people are rude, I MEAN IT. I kept on inching out and that would only prompt them to speed up! Then i saw a slower moving one which i figured was going to stop for us so we could cross. It was an older looking woman so i began to walk with ally and kaitlyn clinging onto each arm. All of a sudden she speeds up making it very clear she wasnt letting us go nearly hitting ally. At this point i am REALLY FED UP and kick the back of her car yelling "bitch!". haha since it was a one lane she had no choice but to continue and guess she still wasnt stopping haha. We ran as fast as we could into the pearly gates of the mall. Though when i say "run" i mean "hobble" for me, my foot hurt really bad all of a sudden. We started off and i could not walk correctly so we kinda had to take it slow. Part 2 later on, im tired
